Top 3 Yoga Studios in Houston TX

My Top 3 Yoga Studios in Houston, TX

Republic Aerial Yoga

Ariel Yoga was a new form of yoga I decided to try and it was really cool! I visited Republic Aerial Yoga in Houston, TX to give it a shot and I liked that it allows you to get into inverted positions that really allow decompression on your spine.

It is also a great full body work out! The instructor did a great job helping a beginner like me get the HANG OF IT (get it?), so if you’re looking to try aerial yoga in HTX, this place is worth the visit!

Black Swan Houston

Black Swan Yoga Houston was harder than I thought it would be! During their hot yoga sessions, the room is heated to 90 degrees so be prepared to work up a sweat and drip (Tip: take a towel + lots of water)!

The instructor in my class has had a rotator cuff surgery, so he focused the practice on getting our shoulders loose. With the shoulder issues I’ve experienced, this was much needed and I felt very comfortable and confident in his skills to follow along!

I also love that Black Swan Yoga studios are donation-based, because people going through hard times can still go. The practice really helped me connect my mind and body, as well as focus on breathing.

If you haven’t tried hot yoga with Black Swan Yoga yet, I recommend adding it to your list to try!

Big Power Yoga

Fast. 🏃‍♂️ Powerful. 🙏 HOT! 🔥
Sound like your type of yoga?

Big Power Yoga is accurately named, because this was literally one of the most powerful yoga classes I’ve done! The flow was faster than I am used to, but the instructor was amazing and I was drenched by the end of this jam-packed class (a true testament to how great it is)!

One thing in particular I loved about this yoga studio is, at the end, they put a cold eucalyptus towel on your eyes, which really cools you down and feels great after the fast-paced hot yoga class!

I tried this particular Houston TX yoga studio, because Gina Marie Vrunnels (a long time family friend) is an instructor there and I’m so glad I did! Though our families have been friends for years, I haven’t seen her for several. It was really nice to see her and we gave each other a beautiful hug.

I feel like yoga is a great way to bring people together and connect as we also connect with our minds, bodies, and souls. If you try a class with her, tell her KirBeBetter says hi!
